THE LIBRARY AND DOCUMENTATION UNIT OF THE PUBLICATION & RECORDS OFFICE
This Unit is charged with the responsibility of identifying, acquiring, disseminating and storing literature sources in the relevant subject areas of banking, finance, economics and legal to support the research and training activities of the Bank. It is also to provide up-to-date and relevant bibliographic information to support the decision-making processes of Management.
Objectives

The Library and Documentation Unit has the following objectives:
- To build up a comprehensive collection of up-to-date reference and bibliographic information relevant to the Bankโs scope of activities.
- To process materials collected to facilitate their speedy retrieval.
- To provide regular on-line and off-line in-house Current Awareness services. This includes journal and book alerts among others.
- To identify and subscribe to relevant journals to augment and update the Libraryโs serials collection.
- To build a database of the Libraryโs holdings so as to provide on-line reference services for the benefit of staff.
- To compile and publish Banking and Financial Laws for reference purposes.
The Library and Documentation unit has been divided into two sections
